“Designing‘ Embodied’ Science Learning Experiences for Young Children” awarded Best Paper at HCII2020 Conference
Paper titled "Designing ‘Embodied’ Science Learning Experiences for Young Children," by Move2Learn team members Rhiannon Thomas Jha, Sara Price (University College London, United Kingdom), and Alison Motion (Learning Through Landscapes, United Kingdom), was given the Best Paper Award of the 7th International Conference on Learning and Collaboration Technologies, in Copenhagen, on 21 July, 2020.
From Design to Difference: Increasing impact of your IDC Research
This virtual workshop was led by M2L team members Andrew Manches, Alexia Revueltas Roux, Karen Davies, Sharon MacNab, Sara Price and Minna Orvokki Nygren. Workshop goals included: increased awareness of diverse ways IDC research can have impact; increased critical understanding of challenges to building/sustaining impact; and critical reflection ways to increase impact of participants' research.

Move2Learn UK team awarded ScotPEN Wellcome Engagement Award to expand research
In order to expand the Move2Learn research, the project's UK leadership team applied for and received an award from the Wellcome Trust, titled Move2Learn4Teachers.

On Monday 27th January, Andrew Manches and Claire Sowton (UoE) Sharon Macnab and Graham Rose from Glasgow Science Centre (GSC) were joined by Craig from PixelStag to test and discuss progress of the physical-digital exhibit designed through the Wellcome-Trust funded Children & Technology project ‘Co-creation of an embodied learning technology’ project.
