With her background as an academic and researcher (Post Graduate Certificate of Education, University of Strathclyde, PhD, MRC Institute of Virology, University of Glasgow, BSc (Hons) Microbiology, University of Glasgow), as well as a primary school teacher, and over twelve years in the science communication field, Dr Macnab brings her practitioner and researcher voice to the project. She has managed a vast array of projects across GSC, from exhibition development and install, to school learning programmes and initiatives. These have been developed from nursery age to advanced higher pupils, for adult and family audiences and across all science disciplines.
Run large scale projects with Scottish Government funding to support professional learning of teachers and implemented programmes within local education authorities to support STEM teaching and pupil learning. Many projects have been in association with Industry, local authority and academic partners as well as The Association of Science and Discovery Centres, to deliver National projects across the UK.
