Ross is a research assistant with Move2Learn at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he is a second-year doctoral student in educational psychology. Dr. H. Chad Lane is his advisor. He received his MS in teacher education with a concentration in science education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), in 2015.
His areas of interest include K-12 science education, epistemological topics such as argumentation and data visualization and analysis, classroom science authenticity, Nature of Science, and socioscientific issues. Prior to his MS, he was a career research staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, specializing in application of virtual reality and visualization techniques to the exploration of scientific data.
