Michelle has a long history of providing children with opportunities to explore science through open-ended experiences and discovery. Michelle’s educational career began as a high school physics and biology teacher in Toronto, Canada. She was also the founding director of a science center at a large summer camp in Pennsylvania.
Michelle has been at the Sciencenter since 2010, first working on projects for the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network, and then as Director of Education, before her current role as Executive Director. Michelle recently led the IMLS National Leadership Grant funded Collaborative for Early Science Learning that focuses on engaging teachers and families of preschool children.
